Our Purpose:
At Collaborative Learning, we create educational experiences that actively engage learners in sharing and discovering knowledge, solving real and relevant problems, practicing new skills, and taking away new abilities and enthusiasm to apply what they have learned. Our expertise becomes a backdrop for participant learning.

Our Perspective:
We believe that learning is an active process through which learners challenge themselves and each other to assimilate and use new information in ways that make it directly relevant to their own framework of prior knowledge and aspirations for growth.
While Collaborative Learning brings deep subject area content and creative instructional designs to the learning experience, the success of that experience ultimately depends on the effective collaboration of all learners, including the leaders.

Our Methods:
At Collaborative Learning, we use adult learning approaches and techniques that build on participants' experiences, enabling them to achieve their own learning goals. Through an array of activities, simulations, skill practice, dialogues and information dissemination methods, we address the needs of all types of learners while achieving identified course outcomes. Our methods include a significant focus on application of learning to the participants' actual work setting, addressing their underlying reasons for attending the course and enabling them to tackle the challenges of their workplace. Our creative methods keep learners fully engaged as they learn and enjoy the learning experience.

Our Services:
Collaborative Learning
offers a range of services to support effective learning for people in Public Power and related utility organizations.  We do not apply a “one size fits all” approach to our services.  Instead, we bring together and customize the application of information, processes, and tools to meet organizations and learners where they are, and help them take the next right step in their development.
